Kapamilya is a great restaurant. Their food is always tasty and hot. They even offer halo halo here!
i came in around 11 am to get my crunch on. Looking forward to the items pictured on Yelp; some lumpia, lechon, anything crispy!! They had several items ready to serve up but no lumpia.. No lechon... No lumpia... Well since I was here, I figured might as well order something. I ordered a one item combo (~$8) of rice and longanisa. 2 big scoops of fluffy rice and 2 links of longinisa. Added an empanada (~$2.50) and an order of halo halo (~$7). Total was $18. Almost $20 for rice, 2 small sausage links, an average size empanada and a dessert.
My only qualm is the price. Now I'm aware this is a mom and pop shop and i'm all about supporting local businesses but for the price, i could probably get what i was originally looking for, and at a cheaper price elsewhere. -

Pretty decent meal from their Panana Night Market booth in Torrance this weekend. Deep fried pork belly and sticky rice (Lechon Kawali), and 5 shrimp tempura for $20. Not the healthiest food but hey it's fun night market food!

It was a really odd experience we had at their Food Truck appearing at the Monterey Park / San Gabriel Valley Chinese New Year Festival.
The sign clearly showed a price of $5.00 for their Fried Chicken Skin menu item, yet the vendor was adamant in charging $7.00 for it. In hindsight, I should have told them to look at their own sign or change the sign. However, in the impulsive nature of just moving on, I paid the $7.00 for my order.
The Fried Chicken Skin was kinda weak, in that some of the pieces were fatty or inedible, like the tail end of the chicken chopped and fried.
I was expecting something as tasty as what Tokyo Fried Chicken Co. offers at their restaurant, but it wasn't the case here.
I think it rates a * * * three star of an "a-okay" average for the food.
I took off a * star ranking due to price discrepancy. I'm not sure if the food truck worker was running a personal scam to overcharge and pocket the excess monies collected or not, or if the business itself neglected to update their own menu to current pricing, or why there was that disconnect, but it kinda felt like a shady hustle in retrospect.
